We're going barefoot April 8th. Are you?

By now you know that the TOMS Shoes One for One movement is near and dear to our heart at Blue 7, but chances are you probably don't know what its like to really do without a pair of shoes. Most of us never even think about it. That's why TOMS sponsors the One Day Without Shoes event yearly.

According to TOMS, "One Day Without Shoes is the day we spread awareness about the impact a simple pair of shoes can have on a child’s life. On April 8th, we ask people to go the day, part of the day or even just a few minutes, barefoot, to experience a life without shoes first-hand, and inspire others at the same time."

Last year, Oklahoma Senator Andrew Rice even authored Senate Resolution 43 declaring the day "One Day Without Shoes" in the state and encouraged Senate members to participate in this world-wide event.

It's not everyday that a company that sells shoes encourages people to go barefoot, so pledge your support! RSVP and be entered to win a spot on a TOMS Shoe Drop, all expenses paid.

OBEY Awareness

One of our favorite brands here at Blue 7 is
OBEY
. Obey is a company that not only puts out some phenomenal designs, but is also a company dedicated to doing their part. With the OBEY AWARENESS program they hope to educate and generate funding for a handful of social causes they're passionate about.

This time, Obey has teamed up with
Adopt-A-Pet
to raise awareness of the homeless pet crisis. All profits generated from the sale of OBEY Awareness Adopt-a-pet program go directly to support the cause. Very cool!

We love companies that give back. You can pick up the dog collar as well as the t-shirt for men and woman at Blue 7 while supplies last.

And is case you didn't know, Blue 7 is pet friendly! So once you give that pet a new home you better come visit. We're just a few miles away from the dog park.
